12. Whose Feet Are These?

Whose feet are these? I think I know

I recognize them white as snow

I've never seen them here before

I'm stand on these feet, bare floor

First guess was Mother's but they're not

Her's were stuffed in shoes then forgot

Her toes were gently peanut round

On these feet, nothing round is found

Each bony toe, each tendon stretched

Prehensile enough as if to catch

Of all my features most admired

Would my heart prefer be desired?

Naked on the floor they give voice

My brazen feet dance and rejoice

You may think me foolish, silly, or odd

My free feet dance a blessing to God

They shout as they dance of the joy to survive

They sing of the song of just being alive.
